Katey is a registered dietitian (RD) and certified personal trainer (CPT) that has a passion for preventative health through a combination of modern and traditional health practices.

“I am a firm believer that we can change the course of our life through good health practices. For the most part, many (not all) chronic diseases and premature aging are the result of lifestyle choices. By adopting healthier habits, we can slow down or even prevent a lot of health problems.

I believe there is immense value in both modern medicine and traditional practices. The two can coexist.

The key to adopting a healthy lifestyle is to approach it like the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady. We can bring about the beauty of nutrition, fitness, and wellness through simple, progressive changes and not falling victim to all the quick-fix fads and complete BS out there.

But also remember, science is never constant. We learn new things everyday. So as we take on a nutrition and fitness journey, we need to remember that sometimes we should look at an updated map to make sure we get to the proper destination.”

Her passion for holistic - or well-rounded if you don’t like that word - wellness stems from her belief that health is sum total of our habits. This is why she addresses all facets of health - nutrition, fitness, stress, sleep, socialization, confidence, and faith - in her works.
